evil-dead-the-game-how-to-swap-weapons

Evil Dead: The Game lets you use a bunch of different types of weapons to dismantle the undead.  At any given moment, you’ll have two weapons to use and toggling back and forth between them is essential to survival.  In this guide we’ll explain how this system works and how to switch between weapons in the Evil Dead.

How to Swap Weapons in Evil Dead

While a lot of games have a dedicated button to swap between weapons, the Evil Dead takes a more organic approach to swapping between your available arsenal.  But first, let’s explain the difference between ranged weapons and melee weapons.  Melee weapons are going to be things like hammers, knives, spears, and other sharp and blunt objects that allow you to get up close and personal with the undead enemies.

On the flip side of that are ranged weapons.  These are guns and the like which can be uncovered in the game.  Guns require ammunition to shoot, so you’ll need to make sure not wasting your shots, hence why it’s useful to be able to swap at will.  And you can, very easily.

Swapping weapons in Evil Dead works as such.  When you want to fire your gun, you need to hold the left trigger to pull up the aiming reticle.  When you are hold the left trigger you can then pull the right trigger to shoot.  However, if you aren’t holding the Left Trigger, the right trigger will function as the heavy melee attack button.  The Right Bumper button will also function as your normal melee attack button, but will not work if you are holding the left trigger.

So, anytime you want to swap between weapons in Evil Dead, this is basically controlled by the Left Trigger in the game.

Evil Dead: The Game is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, PC (via Epic Games Store) and the game is coming soon to Nintendo Switch.

Apex-Legends-Heirloom

Heirlooms in Apex Legends are fan-favorite cosmetics that serve to boast your coolness. Though it is extremely rare, you can receive red shards through Apex Packs that you can spend on any legend’s heirloom. You can also purchase all of the seasonal Apex Packs to be awarded an heirloom. Not all legends have an heirloom, but they are released periodically. Here are the best Heirlooms in Apex Legends Season 13.

Since heirlooms are only cosmetics, this list will be fairly objective, but I’ll try my best to keep out any personal biases. Also, if you’re looking for other tier lists, check out our character tier list or our weapon tier list for Season 13. We cover a bit of everything on our Apex Legends guide page.

Apex Legends Heirloom List Season 13

It is worth remembering that an heirloom is only as good as its legend, meaning if you have shards to spend, you should spend them on the legend that you like playing the most. Here are the best heirlooms ranked worst to best.

First up, we have Wattson’s heirloom called Energy Reader. Ever since this leaked, this heirloom has been despised by the community and it still serves as a mediocre heirloom. It is simply a gun-looking piece of equipment. Equally lame but a bit better is Mirage’s heirloom called Too Much Witt. This heirloom, while funny, isn’t too impressive. The heirloom is a statue of Mirage. It could be argued to be higher on this list since it matches his personality so well, but because it isn’t a weapon, it isn’t that great of an heirloom.

Next is Rampart’s heirloom called Problem Solver. This wrench heirloom that dispenses gumballs is as good of an heirloom that Rampart could get with her background and character, but it doesn’t beat the other heirlooms on this list. Caustic’s Death Hammer is next which is a pretty cool heirloom. As the name suggests, it is a hammer with a skull that emits gas when used.

The next three are Bangalore’s Cold Steel, Lifeline’s Shock Sticks, and Pathfinder’s Boxing Gloves. Bangalore’s is a pilot’s knife that fits her background and has some solid animations. Lifeline’s Shock Sticks are two drumsticks that double as defibrillators. Pathfinder’s Boxing Gloves are… well, boxing gloves which is perfect since Pathfinder has a boxing arena on Olympus.

The next best heirlooms are Octane’s Butterfly Knife and Bloodhound’s Raven’s Bite. The Butterfly Knife heirloom is perfect for Octane because of his quickness and hyper energy. The axe for Bloodhound isn’t as well thought out as other heirlooms on this list, but it still makes sense and is really cool.

The top heirlooms are Wraith’s Kunai, Gibraltar’s War Club, and Crypto’s Biwon Blade. The Kunai heirloom for Wraith looks really cool and fits her stealth features very well. She is very ninja-like, especially with the right skin, so this heirloom is a perfect fit. Gibraltar’s War Club looks really cool and fits his islander background. And the newest heirloom to date, Crypto’s Biwon Blade, is epic. It is a sword that matches his white and green aesthetics.

And, finally, the best heirloom in Apex Legends is Revenant’s Dead Man’s Curve. Revenant is easily the scariest legend in the game, and with the right skin, he can easily look like the Grim Reaper. The Dead Man’s Curve is a flexible, machine-like scythe. It is a perfect match for Revenant’s creepy aesthetic and works as the best heirloom.

Apex Legends is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Apex-Legends-Official-Screenshot

A new season of Apex Legends means it’s time for a new character tier list. Of course, Newcastle is the newest legend to come to the game, but who else is at the top of their game in Season 13 of Apex Legends. Here is your helpful character tier list for Season 13 Apex Legends.

In this list, we won’t be breaking down who got buffed and who got nerfs. For that, check out our Patch Notes summary. Also, if you’re interested in what weapons are the best in Season 13, we’ve got you covered. You can find even more on our Apex Legends guides page. Also, just because a certain legend is at a certain tier doesn’t mean they aren’t fun or viable– every legend is fun and good in Apex Legends.

Character Tier List in Apex Legends Season 13

S Tier

  • Bloodhound
  • Gibraltar
  • Wraith

Starting off in S Tier are Bloodhound, Gibraltar, and Wraith. These three legends didn’t receive any buffs or nerfs for Season 13, so they remain the best legends in the game. They each offer so much to a team and individual play and none of the other legends have been able to quite dethrone them yet.

A Tier

  • Newcastle
  • Valkyrie
  • Octane
  • Ash
  • Rampart
  • Loba
  • Horizon

In A Tier, we start off with Newcastle who is shaping up to be an extremely useful legend that might rival Gibraltar as he sees more use. Next is Valkyrie for her exceptional jetpack passive and her extremely useful ultimate that allows your full team to relocate. Octane and Ash have been close runner-ups as they both have incredibly aggressive and successful kits. Rampart received a huge buff this season that has made her almost broken (people need to stop sleeping on her). And lastly, we have Loba and Horizon who have useful abilities but could use some tweaking to reach perfection.

B Tier

  • Pathfinder
  • Bangalore
  • Caustic
  • Lifeline

In B Tier, Pathfinder is stuck where he is because of his passive that desperately needs a rework as well as other more functional mobility legends outperforming him. Bangalore is next and remains one of the most well-rounded, solid picks. Caustic stays where he’s at with his useful abilities, but he could use a buff. And lastly, we have Lifeline who arguably needs the most work out of everybody on the list, especially with the introduction of Newcastle. That being said, she is still useful.

C Tier

  • Revenant
  • Seer
  • Wattson
  • Mad Maggie

In the C Tier, we have legends that are still good but are outperformed and have some awkward abilities. Revenant is a good legend, but his passive is kind of weak and his ultimate can screw you and your team over if your death protection timer runs out mid-fight. Seer’s abilities don’t even come close to Bloodhounds and they aren’t different enough to make him a viable pick. Wattson has some incredible abilities but takes a bit too much time to set up defenses in this fast-paced game. And Mad Maggie, although still fun, has a clunky ultimate and okay abilities.

D Tier

  • Fuse
  • Mirage

Lastly, in D Tier, we have Fuse and Mirage. With defensive legends on the rise, a great counter could be Fuse, so keep your eyes on him to see if he ranks up in the meta of Apex Legends. Mirage is the worst legend on the list simply because his abilities are easy to spot, but he remains as one of the best healers in the game.

Apex Legends is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Season-13-Apex-Legends

A new season is here in Apex Legends and with it, a new weapon tier list. Although we didn’t get a new weapon in Season 13, the current weapons are always receiving nerfs and buffs with each new season. Because of that, here is your helpful weapon tier list for Apex Legends Season 13.

The entire list of buffs and nerfs will not be included in this guide, so check out our Season 13 Patch Notes summary. Also, each weapon tier list has a bit of subjectivity to it, but we will try to stay as objective as possible with this Apex Legends list.

Weapon Tier List Apex Legends Season 13

S Tier

  • Kraber
  • Spitfire
  • Volt

In the S Tier, we have the Kraber, Spitfire, and Volt. All of these weapons perform extremely well and will consistently get you kills. The Kraber and the Volt are only available through the Care Package, but the Spitfire is now ground loot again and can even be found as a Gold Weapon.

A Tier

  • C.A.R.
  • G7 Scout
  • Mastiff
  • Peacekeeper
  • Flatline
  • R-301
  • R-99
  • Triple Take
  • Rampage

All of these weapons deserve their spot at A Tier because they are reliable and deal great damage. Though the Mastiff entered the Care Package making it slightly better than the Peacekeeper, they are both great shotguns. The R-301 and the Rampage have entered the Replicators which makes them difficult to get, but they are still some of the best weapons in the game. Everything else earns its spot by virtue of damage, accuracy, and fire rate compared to the other guns in their category.

B Tier

  • Hemlok
  • Havoc
  • Longbow
  • Prowler
  • Devotion
  • EVA-8 Auto
  • L-Star

The weapons at B Tier aren’t as good as the A Tier, but they are still reliable and can be great in the right hands. There are a few weapons that received hefty nerfs like the Devotion, but all in all, these guns are great at least until you can get your hands on something better.

C Tier

  • Alternator
  • 30-30 Repeater
  • RE-45
  • Charge Rifle
  • Bocek
  • Sentinel

While these C Tier guns aren’t horrible, they aren’t great either. If you are looking for something to grab right off the bat, then these guns aren’t the worst choices. Whether it is a reliability issue or they are just outclassed by the faster and deadlier weapons, these guns all deserve C Tier. If you’re stuck with one of these guns, you’ll want to find better replacements quickly.

D Tier

  • Mozambique
  • P2020

These D Tier weapons are the worst choices. The only reason to go with a Mozambique or P2020 is if there are no other weapons around. Swap these out as early as you can. If you’re curious about other Apex Legends material, check out our Apex Legends guides.

Evil-Dead-the-Game-Crossplay-details

Evil Dead: The Game is getting ready for arrival on a host of platforms, but the Nintendo Switch will not be one of them, at least at launch.   The initial release date for Evil Dead: The Game is set for May 13th, 2022.  This is following a brief delay for these initial launch platforms.  On May 13th, Evil Dead fans will be able to purchase the game on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and on PC via Epic Games Store.  However, if you’re waiting for the Nintendo Switch version of Evil Dead there’s good news and bad news.

When is Evil Dead Coming to Switch?

Let’s start with the good news.  That is that the Saber Interactive has confirmed that Evil Dead: The Game is coming to the Switch.  The bad news is that we don’t know exactly when other than sometime in the future.  Whether that’s the near future or the far future is anyone’s guess, but Saber Interactive has made the statement that they’ve needed more time for development on the Nintendo console.  What’s even better for Switch fans is that there’s still a note on the Evil Dead: The Game website that lists the Switch under the platforms the game is coming to with a note that says “Also coming soon to Nintendo Switch.”

So what does “Soon” mean?  That’s kind of the bad news here, that means that we don’t actually know the exact date for the Switch launch of Evil Dead: The Game.  Soon could be a month from now, it could be three months, it could be more.  Saber Interactive has not made an official announcement for the Switch release date on Evil Dead: The Game.  The game did see a brief delay from 2021 to 2022 so it’s not really clear whether they were having trouble with this particular version of the game or were dedicated to really making the launch platforms shine when it comes to the final polish for the game.

While the Nintendo Switch isn’t exactly know for multiplayer games, the Evil Dead is a multiplayer-centric title.  However, it was recently revealed that Evil Dead: The Game could be played in Single Player as well.

Evil Dead is slated for launch on the aforementioned platforms on May 13th, 2022 but the Switch version is still listed as “Soon” for now.

Modern-Warfare-DMZ

Modern Warfare’s 2 DMZ mode has been a topic of discussion among the Call of Duty community. Modern Warfare 2 has been on a lot of players’ radars, and for a good reason. Modern Warfare (2019) set the bar high on the FPS genre, and its sequel may do the same once again.

Even though the game does not have a set release date, many players are looking for any information they can get. Leakers and streamers have shared their thoughts and opinions, but nothing conclusive has been said. A few days ago a popular pro player and streamer shared what a trusted source confide to him about the upcoming title. According to the streamer and pro player, the game is in a bad state, and this is coming from a fan of the series who thinks he is optimistic when it comes to new Call of Duty titles.

A few days ago, a well-known leaker of the Call of Duty community called TheGhostofHope shared on Twitter a short statement regarding the new game mode that will be featured in Modern Warfare 2. According to him, the “DMZ” game mode will launch in beta, something that is not common in the Call of Duty franchise. He followed the statement by saying that a game mode like DMZ does not become a final product until players get to experience it and that it needs maintenance.

There is not a lot of information regarding the DMZ game mode, but the small details shared by leakers talk about a blend of Call of Duty and Escape from Tarkov. According to the same leaker we mentioned before, the equipment you take on your matches can be lost if an enemy manages to kill you.

Something that is a staple on Escape from Tarkov. A game where anything can happen, from risking all your high-end gear for a rare item to getting killed by one of the most useless guns in the game and losing all your precious weapons. A game mode like this on Modern Warfare 2 will likely spice up the gameplay pace and will make players more careful when ambushing a group of AI enemies or while looking for a rare item.

All in all, this is great news for the Call of Duty crowd; a game mode like this could bring players from the Escape from Tarkov community and gather more players from this game mode alone.

Modern Warfare 2 does not have a release date yet.

Call-of-Duty-Warzone-Godzilla-Operation-Monarch-Killstreak-1

Operation Monarch is now live in Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing Godzilla and King Kong to the island of Caldera in a special limited-time mode. This Monsterverse crossover event also features a list of challenges for players to complete to earn free rewards. Like most other Warzone events, completing all of the challenges available during the event will reward a bonus weapon blueprint called Ancient Rivalry, which is what everyone is after. There are plenty of other secret challenges available during Operation Monarch as well, so there’s plenty to work toward during the two-week event period. Here’s how to get the Ancient Rivalry weapon blueprint in Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard.

How to Get the Ancient Rivalry Weapon Blueprint

To get the Ancient Rivalry weapon blueprint, you have to complete all 8 Operation Monarch challenges. Each of them is listed below along with the rewards that you’ll get from finishing each one.

  • Play Operation Monarch for 6 Hours: Epic “Ancestral Skull” Charm
  • Use a Kong or Godzilla Killstreak Once: Rare “Ancient Remains” Charm
  • Use a Kong or Godzilla Killstreak Three Times: Rare “Monarch Eyes Only” Charm
  • Deal 500,000 damage to Titans: Rare “Concrete Jungle” Sticker
  • Deal 135,000 total damage to Kong in Titan Frenzy Events: Legendary “Team Godzilla” Emblem
  • Deal 135,000 total damage to Godzilla in Titan Frenzy Events: Legendary “Team Kong” Emblem
  • Collect 3,000 Monarch Intel: Epic “Skyline Crasher” Calling Card
  • Place in the Top 15 twelve times in the Operation Monarch Limited-Time Mode: Epic “One Will Fall” Spray

Once you wrap up the final challenge, you’ll receive the Ancient Rivalry blueprint as a bonus reward. It’s a blueprint for Marksman Rifle Bravo, more commonly known as the SVT-40. It’s not the most popular weapon in either Warzone or Vanguard, but it’s still a nice bonus for finishing everything before the event ends.

Remember that the blueprint will be unobtainable after Operation Monarch ends, just like the rest of the rewards for the event. Make sure you get everything done before the event comes to a close on May 25.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Fortnite-Imperial-Stormtrooper

Stormtroopers have arrived on the Fortnite island to celebrate Star Wars Day, and there are several new challenges involving them. They patrol certain areas of the map like normal NPCs, and they sell special Star Wars gear like the new Mythic-rarity E-11 Blaster Rifle. Because there are so many quests involving them, there are sure to be plenty of players swarming their spawn locations. Be careful when approaching them. Here’s where to find Stormtroopers in Fortnite.

Fortnite Stormtrooper Locations

Stormtroopers can be found at Stormtrooper Checkpoints. There are three of them on the island, and you can see their locations below.

  • At the intersection north of Greasy Grove
  • Along the road between Coney Crossroads and Sleepy Sound
  • Along the road between Chonker’s Speedway and The Joneses

You can also see their locations marked on the map below.

Fortnite-Stormtrooper-Checkpoint-Locations-Map

Stormtroopers are not hostile unless you shoot at them first. If you speak to them, you can spend 100 Gold Bars to buy an E-11 Blaster Rifle. This weapon has unlimited ammo and deals 30 damage per shot, making it a great weapon to use in the new Zero Build mode. It can also be found as normal loot during the Star Wars Day event, but Stormtroopers offer a guaranteed way to get the blaster.

Because Stormtrooper Checkpoints are central to all of the new Star Wars Day challenges (and there are only 3 of them in total), they’re going to be very busy zones throughout the next two weeks. Make sure you’re prepared if you decide to land at one of them. Landing at a Stormtrooper Checkpoint and placing in the top 25 is a Star Wars challenge though, so you’ll have to dive into the chaos eventually if you want the new Empire Banner.

Alongside the new Star Wars content, the latest Fortnite update added a ton of additional new content. The newest Resistance Quests are now live tasking players with hacking IO servers and collecting files from a white filing cabinet.  Also, new Omni Chips are available to collect, and there’s a new Crew Pack available for Fortnite Crew subscribers.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Mobile devices.

Fortnite-Star-Wars-2022

Fortnite is celebrating Star Wars Day with a ton of new Star Wars content and cosmetics, and a new set of quests is now available to commemorate the new event. Completing these challenges will unlock a free Empire Banner, and previous non-Battle Pass Star Wars skins like Kylo Ren and Boba Fett are returning to the Item Shop as well. On top of all that, Stormtroopers have arrived on the island and players can obtain the E-11 Blaster Rifle from them in exchange for Gold Bars.

There’s a lot of new stuff to check out, but the new quests are the center of the experience. Here’s how to complete all of the Star Wars Day quests in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2.

All Star Wars Quests in Fortnite

There are 6 quests to complete for Star Wars Day in Fortnite, and each of them is listed below along with their XP rewards.

  • Survive storm phases while carrying a Lightsaber (5): 30,000 XP
  • Damage opponents within 30 meters using the E-11 Blaster Rifle (1000): 30,000 XP
  • Complete a bounty from a Stormtrooper (2): 30,000 XP
  • Drive a vehicle from Chonker’s Speedway or Logjam Lumberyard to a Stormtrooper Checkpoint (1): 30,000 XP
  • Land at a Stormtrooper Checkpoint, then place top 25 (2) – 30,000 XP
  • Block hits using a Lightsaber (10): 30,000 XP

These quests are now live in-game and will be available for two weeks before disappearing on Tuesday, May 17 at 12 AM ET. All of the in-game Star Wars content will also be available throughout this two-week period, including the Stormtrooper Checkpoints, E-11 Blaster Rifle, and returning Star Wars skins in the Item Shop. If you’re a Star Wars fan, now is a great time to jump into Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2.

How to Get the Empire Banner

While the 30,000 XP reward for each quest is more than enough of an incentive to complete them, finishing the entire set of challenges will unlock a free Empire Banner. It’s not the first free Star Wars cosmetic that Epic Games has given away, and while it may not be as exciting as something like the X-Wing glider, it’s something at least.

A new Fortnite update was also released alongside all of the new Star Wars content, so there’s a ton of new stuff to check out. The latest set of Resistance Quests is now live, tasking players with hacking IO servers in Command Cavern and more. There are also new Omni Chips to collect, and a new Crew Pack is available for Fortnite Crew members.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.

Fortnite-Foundation

In the world of Fortniteit’s normally kill, or be killed. But, for this chapter, there’s been an overarching story that has been taking place in the Battle Royale game, pitting you on the side of The Seven, as they try to stop the IO Forces from committing some heinous acts. Thankfully, there are plenty of ways that you can help, and they take part in the form of weekly challenges.

You’ve already helped them hack into the IO Servers, and now you need to find a filing cabinet, full to the brim with different files that may help them put their plans into motion. You can’t let them do that, so you’ll need to know exactly where to go to get rid of this filing cabinet, and everything that is inside of it. We’re here to help, as we will go into detail about where you’ll need to go, and what you’ll need to do to take care of this once and for all!

Fortnite – How to Destroy a White Filing Cabinet and Collect the Files

The-Fortress-Filing-Cabinets-Fortnite

It’s a good thing that the IO Forces are a bit clumsy with their intel, as you’ll be able to make a quick smash and grab with little to no effort. If you’ve already taken care of the server inside of Command Cavern, you’ll need to head south towards The Fortress to get this next piece of intel.

Once you are near The Fortress, you’ll need to make your way to the area that is marked on the map. You’ll know that you’re in the right place if you see a gas station near your location. If you have the time, it doesn’t hurt to grab a vehicle while you’re here, as you’ll be able to make a quick escape if someone locks on to what you’re doing.

You’ll know that you’re in the right place once you spot a trailer with a satellite dish on top of it, and you’ll be able to spot a lonesome white filing cabinet next to it. You’ll just want to use your harvesting tool and smack the devil out of it, until it breaks open, revealing a manilla envelope with files sticking out of it. Grab that, and you’ll be ready to move on, with an extra 23,000XP going towards your Battle Pass.

That’s all there is to this one! Another quick and easy task to whittle away at your Battle Pass, since Chapter 3, Season 2 is coming to an end in just about a month. Making sure you unlock as many items as you can is key to this, and if you haven’t gotten the Battle Pass yet, check out the offerings for May’s Fortnite Crew, which includes the Battle Pass.
