Ubisoft has finally announced that Assasin’s Creed Valhalla will be released this year. They didn’t mention any specific date but they are looking forward to a launch in Holiday season of 2020. Gamers have been waiting for the next Assassin’s Creed instalment for quite a while now. Especially after the success of their Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which was widely praised by critics and gamers alike. Valhalla is the It is the 12th major instalment and the 22nd release from the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: What we know
As you can guess by the name, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is related to Vikings. They were an ancient people who used to live in the Scandinavian region. The game will be set in 873 AD during the time of Viking Invasion of Britain. Ubisoft has also released a trailer of the game, but it shows only a glimpse of what’s coming. They have kept things pretty secretive till now and nobody knows much about the gameplay.
You will control Eivor, whom we know little about at this time. All we know is that he is a Viking raider who gets caught up in the conflict between the Brotherhood of Assassins and the Templar Order.
Premise
The game is set during the Viking expansion period when they were invading Britain. Eivor and his clan leave Norway to settle in the lands of Anglo-Saxon England. The clan will come into conflict with several local powers such as Wessex and Northumbria. The game will also feature historical figures like Alfred the Great, the king of Wessex. Winchester, London, and York will be the cities you’ll be able to explore in the open world. The game will also include many parts of Norway as well.
